THD256 is a specialized high manganese steel surfacing electrode featuring a low hydrogen potassium coating. It offers exceptional versatility and durability for demanding industrial environments.

  • Dual Power Compatibility: Can be used with both AC and DC power sources (for AC welding, no-load voltage should not be lower than 70V).
  • Superior Durability: The surfacing metal is austenitic high manganese steel, known for excellent work hardening properties, high toughness, and extreme wear resistance.
  • Operational Note: Best results are achieved using small current and narrow welding beads. Hammering or water quenching while red hot is recommended to reduce crack tendency.

  • Pre-heating: Before welding, the electrode must be baked at 300-350℃ for 1 hour.
  • Surface Preparation: For worn parts of high manganese steel, ensure the fatigue layer is removed or treated with water toughness/soldered with chromium manganese steel electrodes (e.g., D277).
